Words are flowing out.... endless rain into a paper cup
They slither while they pass

They slip away across the universe

Pools of sorrow waves of joy
are drifting through my open mind
Possessing and caressing me

Nothing's gonna change my world

Nothing's gonna change my world..."

Of course something did change his changes all of our worlds all the time. People come and people go, relationships change, jobs and living arrangements and health factors and random events hurtling through space and time change our worlds constantly, often tearing down what we've worked for years to build, and occasionally building up something we never expected to see. Saying "Nothing's gonna change my world" is highly optimistic. It's a nice thought though. I think even Mr. Lennon would agree. Years later he became more of a realist when he said "Life is what happens to you when you're busy making other plans."

Now that, my friends, is true.

Happy Beatles Day! 09/09/09. I woke up at 9:09 am today too. Although I think maybe I didn't get out of bed till One After 909.

And tonight, with the advent of Rock Band: The Beatles, we can all be the Walrus.

Coo Coo Ca Choo!

  1. oh yeah...thanks for the reminder! :) good stuff!

  2. Can't wait..... I'll be able to play this for hours and hours. For me this catalog is endless and of course there will be downloadable albums. The idea of playing a Beatles Rockband game takes me back to being a kid with my brother singing in our basement mirror (with yes a hairbrush) to my dad's old vinyl. Both of us trying to be John.

Oh Saturday mornings (and hair) how I miss them.

  3. so Beatles Rock Band was epic and needs to be revisited, like, TOMORROW...One after 909 :)

And yeah I remember marching around in circles with my Junior High buddy singing Beatles songs all through every lunch hour...I feel like I prepared my whole life for this video game EVER!!!!
